When the Cool Wind Blows

I have had one yucky headache after another lately..Yucky..yucky!

So I just wanted to apologize to my bloggy friends..
I just haven't been in the mood to create, read, write, even talk..

But yesterday, when the rain passed in the afternoon..the air became cool..and I took a moment to visit my green friends..

They smiled up to the sky and said thank you..and soon after the wind began to blow..

(thoardmanphoto)
and my spirit began to awaken..as it always does when the cool wind blows.

Today,on  the way home from dropping Hannah off at school..the air was still cool and I lowered the windows and let my hand feel the air..

reminded me of the joy your pup feels when he sticks his head out the window..

Pure Joy.

The cool wind.A faithful friend and companion in my time of solitude, wrapping its lovely arms around me...reminding me to breathe..and to spread my wings and fly.

"The wind, one brilliant day, called
to my soul with an odor of jasmine."
 Antonio Machado

Inspired by the trees,leaves,birds..as they danced, waived and soared.

Knowing that my wood blocks were in need of something..I decided to burn the edges to give them more...I don't know...just more.

As someone who suffers frequent, and often severe, headaches I can relate. I love your "Fly" piece. The burning of the wood acts like a frame to your wook block and you know whenever you frame something it gives it more importance. So now you have given more importance to your wood. As it should be :-)

I hope you feel better dear Cat, all the beauty of your garden and your creations should help. Maybe it's the weather that's causing you to feel unwell?

So sorry for the headache, I too have had headaches almost everyday for two weeks so I can relate.

Your pendant necklaces turned out very well, I like the burned framing.

So sorry you have been having headaches, Cat. They can be so annoying and interfere with our creativeness. Love your "Fly" piece too. It is amazing how in the midst of your troubles and aches, you happen to lift someone else's spirit. Thank you for that! Love your pics and new creations...as always! Feel better, my friend.

Hugs,
Lupe

So sorry that you have not been feeling well. The burned edges really added that extra touch, "framed". Looks great! Wishing you well and a beautiful weekend!

Cat! Your creations are just superb!!! I love the rusty key hole pendant - pure genius!! I always love cloth (so soft) combined with the harder elements such as wood and some metals. Lovely combination! Hope those headaches resolve themselves. Go see a chiropractor if you can afford it and get someone to give you a good shoulder and neck massage. We artists are always bent over some project and it wreaks havoc on our posture and neck and shoulder muscles.
