Gratitude for June

A little bit of Gratitude for the month of June.

1-Best Hubby ever
2-Art Moments
3-Checker challenges with Joshua
4-A new family addition
5-Dads back home from hospital
6-Quiet beauty
7-Trying something new
8-Looking up
9-Making new friends
now #10 belongs to something that just happened...

I go to bring the dog outside and my daughter locks the glass door behind me...she calls her brother and for half hour they stand there laughing like mad as I pout and scream to let me in!! Finally after a crying(not really crying heehee) fit they let me in only to run into their rooms, from which they yell to each other from behind the walls to confront me...my son decides to sneak out with a pillow as a shield and rubber bat...but he doesn't know that I've hidden in the bathroom ready to pounce with a water bottle. My daughter, the chicken, calls me on my cell phone because she's to afraid to come out.A good hour of laughter and fun...
 I love moments like this!

Art More Place, Home away from Home

A couple of weeks ago I met up with a Facebook friend Sherri. She recently opened up
a wonderful Art Studio here in Melbourne called Art More Place. It's the most amazing place!
While hours passed we talked about her open house coming up and she invited me to attend and display some of my work as I will be teaching upcoming workshops there.
I was thrilled to pieces.

I had so much fun meeting making new friends and meeting Facebook friends for the first time.

I had the chance to talk about my work and see face to face how people react to it.

I made some new creative friends that live right here in the same town

and even offered one of my pendants for a giveaway and the girl that won it seemed to really like it!!

My daughter Hannah came with me to give me a hand, but she ended up chatting the night away too...

Overall it was a great event.I'm so thankful that I met Sherri and found her beautiful space.

I have a feeling this is the beginning of something wonderful.

If your local,be sure to check out the Art More Place website and see my first workshop offering for August!!

Be Kind

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.

A new blog post on the Paper Whimsy Inspire Blog

"Be Kind" a free standing two panel assemblage.

I'll admit,I think I'm coming out of my color shell.I still love all shades of brown...but lately I've been feeling adventurous with purples and blues.

I even took a painting class this week and ok I was a wee bit out of my comfort zone
but I had a truly wonderful evening.

It's all about learning and growing isnt it?
and before I go I wanted to share a wonderful video of Jim Carey giving a
commencement speech.It's pretty awesome.
