A Sister's Bond

I am so excited about the new Summer edition of Belle Armoire

It's always exciting to be included among such amazing artists,
But this time it has much more meaning to me.
In this edition I have an article with my sister Ingrid.
We each created one half of a necklace, she created the left side and I the right.

Here's a picture of my Mom,Ingrid and me holding my Dolly.
I actually have four other siblings, but this picture always makes me happy.

The article also includes my Brass and Fabric Cuffs..Very exciting indeed.

So not only is it thrilling to be included in this magazine with so many wonderful and creative artist, but when I noticed that Cynthia Levens, the managing editor of BAJ,mentioned me and Sis in the editors letter...I just about fell off my seat!

Jumping up for Joy!!

Never Enough Time

My Sister Ingrid came for a visit...and the first thing we did...was go eat Colombian food...Yum...

Then we visited Mom & Pop
Here's Hannah with her Grandma...

and Joshua clowning around with Grandpa & Grandma...

and me and Hannah soaking in every second...
(I love this picture of the two of us)

Later that night we visited my Auntie Nellie and we had a splendid dinner.

I also finished up Mom's Mothers Day gift and gave it to her since I would not see her again before her special Day....

Just never seems like enough time...
but I'm still thankful for every minute.

Something else I'm thankful for is
Bike Rides

"My Home Song" On-line Class at Creative Workshops!!

I am very excited to announce a new upcoming online class at Creative Workshops!

These pendants were inspired by the poem “A Home Song” by Henry Van Dyke. I believe that every home has a song…each unique and special only to those that live within its walls. This private song carries its voice within these pendants and they float with memories of happiness and good times and love.
As an artist, I tried to capture my song in the objects that I embedded inside the resin…Sweetly remembering the sound of the beach and picking up shells…or the songs of the birds in the trees outside my bedroom window… even the soft hum coming from my mother as she planted her flowers and tended to them with gentle care.

These memories created my Home Song. They created a visual reminder of special times that up until now, I carried deep within my heart.
