Pebeo Prisme Fantasy Paint

I love texture! I especially love texture that's easy to achieve...I'm lazy like that...heehee

When I first discovered Pebeo Fantasy paint I instantly fell in love with it...
I mean all you do is apply it and let it dry.As it dries it creates this yummy crater effect.Last year I used it on some chip board puzzle pieces(the pieces had to be sealed first so that the paint would not sink into the chipboard) and I loved the way they came out and was fortunate enough to get them published. The blue one always reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

Recently I started working on some Tombstones for a swap with Retro Cafe. I made these about for different ways and I just wasn't happy with any of them. Then I thought about the Pebeo. So I turned my tombstones over and added one color of paint, then dropped in smaller drops of another color. Then I took a toothpick and gently swirled the paint around. I just loved the way the came out.

When they dried,I added a wonderfully wicked image of Mr Poe, some of his words and black chipboard cut outs. Then I sealed it completely with Modge Podge. Lastly, I covered all the pieces in Clear cast and sprinkled on star glitter and micro beads.

Simple,but full of yummy texture!

I loved the pebeo paint effect so much that I did again, but this time I used a Flaming Heart Shrine and made it the focal in a new journal.

Gotta love easy peasy texture.

and no matter how big they get... there's always time to make a fort.

Really? Is the summer over?
The days feel like they are getting shorter and shorter.
We had a blessed summer
and I guess
I just want to treasure each and every moment.

J is now old enough so this summer he sometimes manned the grill...

and Family game night always included our four legged fur baby...

H and J did some volunteering this summer at Art More Place...

and I'll admit,I love having them in my creative home away from home.

We did some beach time...

and H participated in a theater summer program where they performed Pippin...

and we visited some colleges

and H is learning more recipes

and she got her Lerners Permit

and Josh and I went zip lining...

and boy did we laugh...

and no matter how big they get...
there's always time to make a fort.

and have snacks and hot cocoa...

and before you know it...there ready for the first day of school again.

Going into 8th grade

and going to be a senior.

These are the days.
