I will never in my life forget the hug you gave me before we parted ways this morning. And the words you graciously said, filled my heart with so much joy and happiness. You said.. "Thanks mom,for walking me to school all these years.I really appreciated it."
I will miss our walks sweet Hannah. But from this day on you will walk a new path and though I may not be right beside you, know that I will always love you, that I am always proud of you, that I am honored to be your mommy, that you are unique and wonderful.. and that whichever path you choose..you can always find your way home.
What a lovely tribute to your daughter and to motherhood! We are walking this path with our children, but there will come a day when they go on their own path - and all we can do is watch them go and love them, and as you beautifully said, let them know the way home if they need it.
Okay, okay, I'm tearing up! Wow, what a wonderful message. Hannah is one lucky girl to have a fabulous mom like you Cat. Believe me, I know! You are both so blessed to have each other. Hugs, Riki
Don't they just grow up too fast. :-( My little granddaughters just graduated pre-school and go into kindergarten in the fall. I miss my baby hugs. Your daughter looks so sweet. It's nice you have such a great relationship. She's a lucky girl. Connie
oh my......how beautiful. may the angels watch over her and guide her the way you have. this touches me deeply. god bless you and god bless your heart. a good mother is a gift from heaven and a trusting little girl is a gift from god. so sweet.
Oh Cat, i feel your every emotion, i went through this with each of my own children. i know it never gets easier, but you will get better at coping. or maybe not. at least we can take some comfort in the fact that to have these children we love SO much is the biggest blessing on earth. my youngest child is hannah too, and she'll be leaving the nest in august for university on the opposite coast. :(
take good care, and good luck with your exquisite art. i LOVE my piece. treasure it.
I just love this blog entry! I can feel the warmth in your words, and the strength in your message. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful moment. I can surely relate to it myself. oxoxo Zinnia
