Full of Treasures

I love working on a small scale.Recently a customer asked me to make one of my mini scrapbook boxes for her daughter.I used to make these in a larger scale, but for me..the smaller the better. After I finished the first one,I was inspired to create another one. This one is called "Togetherness" and it measures 2 1/4" x 3 3/4".The photos need to be a teeny-weeny 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"

I also finished a little block. It measures approx.3" high.On the sides it reads.."Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much-Hellen Keller

I also recently had the oppertunity to join in on the most exciting challenge..Brenda from http://wickedwoolgathering.blogspot.com/ challenged us to create something using her hand made wool..How exciting..and yesterday I recieved it in the mail, and I couldnt believe my eyes.. the most beautiful rainbow of colored wool...what was I to do..Well I have to be truthful here...I couldnt keep my hands off of it..its texture is simply devine and just had to create something RIGHT AWAY!!

I first made a book of treasures.I happen to collect things..treasured things like baby teeth, little drawings,shells,rocks,spools,buttons..whatever..my treasures..and so my book "Essential Stuff" was made with Brenda's gray and white wool, felt and other doo-dads.

..and I also created a small wool pendant..it started off as an ACEO Card, but I quickly decided to cut it down..smaller the better..and the blue wool looked like a beautiful sky and green had to be the grass and I stitched some mountains and added beads..what fun! Thanks Brenda!!

I still have some left...and my mind is already racing with ideas..

I think I found a new treasure..sweet Brenda Wool...What kind of treasures do you collect?

As always,
thank you so much for stopping by

Always a pleasure to visit and see what creative things you are up to..and my goodness, just look at it all! Your treasure box is wonderful..I've never seen anything like it! And I love your "Essential Stuff" book...the textural element from the felted wool really makes it.

These are wonderful. You don't even want to know what I collect. I just saved the little knit bag the potatoes came in because it was such an interesting combination of weaving and plastic.
