Nothing else really Matters

Last week Hubby and Hannah flew up north to visit family and friends. While hubby visited some of his family,Hannah visited with my sissie Ingrid...and later meeting up with my oldest brother Eddie and sis in law Lucy, they ventured off into Manhattan...And well, this being Hannah's first trip to the Big Apple, her aunties and uncle made sure she had a wonderful time. From the thrill in her voice,as she explained every detail ,I could tell Hannah was having a blast.

As Tia(what Hannah calls Auntie Ingrid)would say..some .."a mani and pedi" pampering...

A portrait in Central park...

..a hot dog in Times Square....

...and a trip to NYC wouldn't be complete with seeing lady Liberty.

While all this good stuff was going on,I was at home here in sunny Florida.. spending quality time with my two little men.Joshua and Wolfy..

We had fun in the pool, stuffed ourselves at Friendly's,went to the movies, watched Toy Story 3 , had Wii challenges and constant battles of Checkers...

We also did quite a bit of sewing...yes.. sewing..this little one likes to make pillows..

The only problem was...I kept getting notes like this...at least 6 or 7 of them..

I had quite a bit of repair work to do..Joshua doesn't want any stuffing coming out you see..totally understandable.

And so at last,my babies(big and small)arrived home from their trip. With open arms they fell back into our lives and into our home...a place unlike none other,a haven,a sanctuary and I for one am complete with these precious souls around me.

Nothing else really matters.

As always,
thank you so much for stopping by

It looks like Hannah had a great New York adventure and Joshua's pillows are adorable. They remind me of Candace.

Sounds like a lot of fun things going on around your house (and up in NY!). Your daughter must have had a blast up in NY based on those great photos...I especially liked the one with Hannah dressed as Lady Liberty.
And those pillows you made with your son are so cute! My boys would really like that project...so he sewed it himself too?? :-)

Absence does make the heart grow fonder. It sounds like there was quality time had by all and special memories made. Connie

I saved all those little notes from my five too, they always make me smile.

I hope you are staying cool there...Michigan is probably hotter than Florida right now! ;) Have a great day!
