Cat, Would you believe me if I said that I learned to type on a typewriter like this? My sophomore year of high school. The next year- they went to electric. By then, my pinkies were super strong and I could type like the wind! What are you going to do with it? I recently bought a "B" key necklace. xo, Cheryl

yes, i could fall in love with this. i can hear the taptaptap coming from the den where my mother used one of these babies. those re-typed words, mistakes in letters (ah. letters, so old-fashioned). i treasure those letters from my mom. thank you, cat, for bringing back such wonderful memories for me today.

with love,

amanda

Cat, I DO believe in love at first sight! And that incredible typewriter has come to the perfect home. Sure makes you wonder who owned it and typed on it in the past (and what was typed??). I'm going to share this post with a friend who LOVES old typewriters and recently got a PINK typewriter from her husband! You'll meet her at Metal Magic, btw! :-)

cat, first: the music on your blog sneaks up on me everytime! i think i am imagining it until it clicks that the sound comes from you! )

now, about the typewriter, speaking of sounds and clicks, i can just about hear the keys and i can clearly see the fonts and words on the page, on a library card.

i like that you like treasures like this.

treasures that also include trusted friends...

love
