Breakfast of Champions
I am always filled with joy
when the kids ask for Arepas and Egg Soup for breakfast.
A traditional Colombian breakfast...
and a sweet memory for me of my Momma making this comfort food.
The soup, topped off with fresh cut Cilantro and the Arepas with melted cheese.
Yum.

Hey Cat, this is one ambitious family! Your traditional comfort foods look great, and hold such sweet memories, that is the best part!
As always, your pendants are amazing!
Love those moon cookies, and that breakfast sounds delicious! What time do we eat? :)) xox Pam
You know, I actually got choked up by the final flight. I did! I watched the first one take off years ago in my first home and then watched the last one take flight yesterday. It makes me sad. Isn't that strange?! I'm so glad you mentioned it. And I love the cookies!! - Kathy
Yum Yum, not just the food but your beautiful soldered pendants!
Thanks for entering my giveaway.Best of luck.
hugs Lynn

I have never heard of Arepas and Egg Soup...looks and sounds delicious! Adore the gorgeous pendants (be still my heart)! hope you have a wonderful week!
this post has everything! the breakfast, kids, cookies and pendants are my favorites. oh, that's just about everything!
cat, i am so impressed with your soldering skills. i had a summer job soldering through college (not the proper placement of phrases, haha, it wasn't the college that got soldered) and it's so obvious how precise and perfect your work is.
how are your friends? i hope one or two are true blue :^)
love

Cat, thanks for sharing one of your family traditions...they look yummy! I bet my oldest son would love to try cooking them too - he loves to make us homemade pancakes and waffles.
I've been out of touch in blogland due to super slow Internet connecitons here at the beach, so it was a treat catching up with you today. I'll have to check out Riki's tutorial...I know I've burned a few precious rhinestones in the soldering process. I'm sure her tutorial would be a huge help!
Those moon cookies look yummy...my son is participating in a moonbot competition so these would be right up his alley too!
Hmm, now that's something I don't think I'd ever have thought of for breakfast. I'll point out to my flatmate, the next time he laughs at me for eating freshly podded peas for breakfast, that I'm not the only savoury breakfast nut out there that isn't eating bacon and eggs ;o)
I have this sudden craving for cookies! Dare I start baking at 11:00 pm? I would love to taste that soup, and I'll have to google the recipe. You always share the best!
hugs,
Lisa
HI Cat, thank you so much for the plug! Sure appreciate it. And your pendants are looking sooooo cool! Man, those cookies look good, yummmmm! Hugs, Riki
