Where did the Summer Go?

Where did the summer go?

We visited the folks




and My sister came to visit...


and had fun at the Zoo



and cooked up some Smores


and played Uno almost every night


and visited my brother in Ocala and had a canoe trip on Silver Springs 



then had fun at Universal Studios





but mostly played in our Pool 


and I had some first's this summer...
like my first online tea party

and online teaching venue


and I sold my first ever dvd


but now here we are
it's the first day of school
and I can hardly believe the summer has passed us by...

Josh is off to 5th grade


and Hannah a high school student,9th grade...
Crazy right?


It's going by so fast...but I am sure as hell gonna remember every second!
Like movie nights in Joshua's room
my new toast holder(made by little man)
shopping with Hannah
Family time!
All of it.

Wow, I thought our summer was short, but we still have until the 28th. Summer looks beautiful at your house. Your kids are gorgeous! I'm ready for a summer repeat, how about you? :)) xox

cat, you and I too are so lucky to cherish everything you describe here. i think there are no 'big questions' when we understand that these moments and times offer everything a person would ever need. family, love, creativity, cool water, time away, time home...comfort.

but one thing i cannot agree with you about: summer has NOT ended yet! it's not even mid august. don't give up one moment of it until you have to!

And so it goes. My sista and I were just talking that over lunch on Saturday. Where has the summer gone. Hard to believe that the year is coming to a close. Feels like it just got started for me.

Yes, the summer is going by way too fast. And I know yours have already started school. :-( I hope HS is off to a good start for Hannah...and I have a rising 5th grader as well!
I enjoyed your summer recap through pictures...I can see many wonderful family memories were made - just look at the smiles and all of the great places you visited. Time flies when we're having fun.
