My Mother's Hands
I am the youngest of five, and My Mother used to tell me that we(my brothers and sisters and I) where all a part of her hand, connected to each other, and to her, forever.
Nowadays,I look at my hands, and I see her hands,..always connected.Forever.

Thanks for sharing it.
My hands are pretty beat up, I should have taken better care of them. But they have held and comforted lots of babies, been in the earth (maybe too much)spun lots of yarn, tanned hides, made windows, made pies.
I think i'll keep them.
i look at my wrist and all the bracelets i wear - many of them passed down from my late mother. with every jingle i remember her...
As for the rest of my hands, apparently they should tell me they are identical to my great-grandmother's delicate wee hands, but since I never met the woman (she having been long pushing up daisies before I came along) I couldn't honestly tell you. They do require me to get gloves for them in the kids department though, which is a tad embarassing when you're 5'7" ;o)
i have known many people who do not have use of their hands (paralysis) and they manage to do most of what i do anyway.
i love this subject. xoxox
